Where Passion Meets Practice: Dayana’s Journey into Research
At Pharmacy Research Professionals, we’re launching a new series to spotlight the inspiring paths of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are embedding research into their careers.
Our goal? To show you what’s possible and hopefully inspire you to start your own research journey.
In this video we have Dayana El Nsouli, an advanced prescribing pharmacist whose dedication to research is shaping the future of clinical pharmacy.
Having completed her IP in Acute Medicine and saved her Trust £1.2 million through quality improvement, as well as publishing impactful research and mentoring future clinical academics, Dayana is redefining what it means to be a pharmacist in research.
Most recently, she was invited to join the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) pharmacist prescribing hub. She is now collaborating with academics in New Zealand, the USA, and the UK on a two-year project to develop a global pharmacist prescribing framework. This opportunity builds on the strength of her pre-doctoral work and NIHR DCAF PhD proposal.
In this inspiring episode, she shares her path from NIHR internships to global collaborations, and how she’s making research a core part of pharmacy practice.
Watch her journey and be inspired.
